My Best Friends Wedding
It's 10am and Holly's getting married today! I am so excited and am so glad to be a part of the wedding. Taking a step back and realizing how little time has passed since our first day of HSU together makes me a tad teary-eyed. She and Paul will be moving to Lubbock to start school out there and make a new home for themselves. I hate when friends move away. Chris and I are officially moving to McKinney next weekend. Fort Worth has been my home for 23 years, and its a hard city to part from. We are still so excited about a new city, home, and life together. It's an adventure!
Off to do Matron of Honor duties......

Much needed update.
Good Morning!!! It has been quite a while since I last posted. Couple of changes..... We are now married and back from wonderful Paris. We had such a great time, and daily wish we were back there, not having to worry about real life :) We also have found where to start our lives. We we will be living in McKinney, TX, which is the halfway point between BOTH of our jobs. Yessiree, that's right, I do have a new job. I will be the head middle school band director in Whitewright ISD. I am very excited to start here! Chris started his new job yesterday, and feels its a great place for him and came home with lots of encouragement about his new opportunities there.
Lots of things happening in June for us. I have two weddings that I am in for the next two weekends. We are moving at the end of June. And just adjusting to married life as well!

My amazing one
Well, we are almost there. 53 days now. That's about 6 weeks. Things are starting to fall in place and looking like we will survive! We have been waiting and praying that God will give us jobs before we are married and it happened! (for one of us :)) Chris got an offer to come and work with a music company called the Listening Chair in Dallas and he accepted! He's so excited. He will start in June after we're back from our honeymoon. As for me, I'm still on the hunt. I'm changing my explorations toward the Dallas area now. As far as summer goes, we are trying to stay in Fort Worth so I can continue to work at the YMCA. Our first shower is this weekend and I'm so pumped! A lot of my family is coming down from Waco. These would be my grandma's sisters and they are using their new GPS system to get here. So if anyone sees 3-4 older ladies not watching the road and looking really lost on Saturday, its probably them.
I'm off to enjoy this 80 degree weather!

In God We Trust
I got an email this morning from the job I've been praying to get since last year. "Thank you so much for interviewing for the position at XXXXX. I wanted to let you know that even though you were a strong candidate, we recommended another person for the position. Good luck in your pursuits."
So we're back to the drawing board.

Sick Sick Sick Sick
I've been hit
.............................
by the common cold.
Chris and I will be out of commission this week. He is getting his wisdom teeth taken out and I will be letting the cold run its course. Yippee. We also both have interviews for great jobs next week. So please keep us in your prayers.
So I went to Target last week and spent WAY too much. Everything was on sale!!!! I started buying things for events that are in the FAR future. Bought some bachelorette invites for the next friend getting married (whoever that is...:) Needless to say, I've decided to return some items that I really could live without.
I feel like I have much more to post, but my head is so congested I can't think back past last night. So this is it for now.

Saturday...urgh I mean Friday moning
Fridays have become my new Saturdays. I never work on Fridays and always work on Saturdays, so it just makes since to lie in bed all day on Friday.
15 weeks until the wedding. Thats it. 15. Last week Chris's mom surprised us with a honeymoon to Paris completely paid for!!!! We had never considered going overseas, mostly because we new we couldn't afford it, and Mexico sounded just fine to us. But now, we're learning French instead of Spanish! (its pretty similar anyways, right?).
I had an awesome interview yesterday for an assistant band director position at a new middle school for next August. So I am on my way to my second interview with the principal. Chris also got an interview offer yesterday, which unfortunately, he'll have to wait until after Strawberry Festival to go in and speak with them. I love how God will give us encouragement together on the same days. It reminds us how He is always with us through every day, no matter how bad it is.
Au revoir!
